Diverse Talents Shining on the Stage: Empowering Future Leaders through English

At our school, we foster a strong English academic atmosphere, immersing students in an English-rich learning environment where they consistently excel. Keeping pace with contemporary educational trends, we have recently introduced an innovative AI-based English teaching and learning system designed to significantly enhance students' writing and speaking skills.

1. Outstanding International Exam Achievements

Our students continually achieve remarkable results in international assessments.

  • IELTS Success: Congratulations to our students for their stellar performance in the 2025 International English Language Testing System (IELTS), with top achievers securing an impressive Band 8.
  • TOEFL Junior Excellence: In November 2025, our junior form students took the TOEFL Junior assessment, with an encouraging 100% of candidates scoring above 800!

2. Shining on the Stage: Speech & Debate Excellence

We provide diverse platforms for students to harness their language capabilities and build confidence.

  • English Speech: Our students consistently shine in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival. A special congratulations to our two CTMers who proudly secured 2nd Place in Solo Verse Speaking at the 77th English Speech Festival (2025)!
  • English Debate: For students who wish to harness their debating skills while enhancing their English ability, our English Debate Team is the perfect training ground. Following their outstanding 1st Runner-up titles in both the Talent Cup 2025 and the 2024-25 Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition (HKSSDC), the team has successfully advanced to the Term 1 Finals this year. Under the coaching of professional teachers, students sharpen their critical thinking, foster strong team spirit, and build lifelong friendships.
  • English Musical: Students also have the wonderful opportunity to showcase their artistic talents and enhance their communication skills through our vibrant English musical productions.

3. An Immersive "Whole-School" Learning Atmosphere

We believe in a comprehensive approach to language acquisition, extending learning beyond the classroom.

  • English Speaking Days: Every Tuesday and Thursday are designated as English Speaking Days, with morning assemblies conducted entirely in English to cultivate a truly immersive speaking environment. We also host an annual English Week and run the English Ambassador Scheme to foster peer learning.
  • Extensive Reading & E-learning: To promote self-directed learning, we provide various e-learning platforms (such as Raz-Plus, i-Learner, and LingoTask) and an extensive reading scheme featuring diverse materials like the South China Morning Post (SCMP), Quest, and iNKY.

 

Course Objectives

-       To enable students to gain access to knowledge from around the world, and develop positive values and attitudes, establish and maintain meaningful relationships with people, increase their cultural understanding and expand their knowledge and worldviews.

-       To equip students with the capabilities necessary for lifelong learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation and for adapting to the rapid changes and demands of society.

To introduce students to a world of leisure and entertainment in the English language.
